The Rust value is the same at any DPI as long as you keep your DPI unchanged — only cm/360 changes with DPI.

Setting it in Rust

Rust: ADS when you change FOV

In Rust, FOV doesn't change your normal look speed, but it does change aiming down sights: ADS turns faster at a wider FOV, in step with the FOV (going from 75 to 90 makes ADS 20% faster). Scale your ADS sensitivity by old FOV ÷ new FOV to keep the same scoped feel.

New ADS sensitivity: 0.833

Your normal look sensitivity stays the same — only the aim-down-sights value changes.

Check it in 30 seconds

  1. Put a ruler or tape measure next to your mouse pad, or mark a starting line.
  2. In Rust, line your crosshair up with a sharp edge, like a door frame or a pole.
  3. Move the mouse slowly to the right until the crosshair comes back to the same edge, a full 360° turn.
  4. The distance your mouse travelled should match the cm/360° the converter shows. If it's off, check that mouse acceleration and Windows "Enhance pointer precision" are off, and that you're not aiming down sights.

Questions

How do I convert R6 Siege sensitivity to Rust?+

Multiply your R6 Siege sensitivity by 0.0509 and keep the same DPI. For example, 10 in R6 Siege is 0.509 in Rust (19.9 cm/360 at 800 DPI).

Is R6 Siege sensitivity the same as Rust?+

No. Rust turns more per mouse movement than R6 Siege, so the same number would feel faster. Use the converter to get the matching value.

Where do I set my sensitivity in Rust?+

Options → Controls → Sensitivity (or `input.sensitivity` in the F1 console). Rust's FOV doesn't change hipfire, so this works at any FOV. FOV only changes aiming down sights — use the Rust ADS tool below if you change FOV.

How accurate is this sensitivity converter?+

It matches your exact hand movement for a full 360° turn, which is the same method aim trainers like KovaaK's use. Every game's value is checked against more than one source, and games with an unclear formula are left out rather than guessed. You can confirm any result in 30 seconds with the 360° test on this page.

What is cm/360?+

It's how far you move your mouse to turn a full circle in game. When two games have the same cm/360, your aim feels the same in both, even though the sensitivity numbers are different.

Should I change my DPI when switching games?+

No need. Keep the same DPI and change only the in-game sensitivity. If you do change DPI, tick "I'm changing DPI too" and the converter adjusts for it.
